As I was walking to Chocolate Dayz Cafe I noticed there was another Cafe very close, I had a nosey around and wasn't to flash (especially for me to sit down at this cafe over Chocolate Dayz Cafe). Chocolate Dayz Cafe is soon nice, its beautiful and is right on the sea side so you can hear the sounds of the beach and you already feel calm being there and sitting down. I got very good vibes from this place.
Chocolate Dayz Cafe:
Quality:
- This Cafe was well looked after, the staff were constantly cleaning up after the tables leaving and were very onto it when it came to the clean aspect of place.
- The quality of the food was AMAZING! I ordered a ham, pesto and cheese panini, a caramel slice, as well as a flat white coffee. Both were amazing, coffee was perfect, same with the panini. Had no complaints with this meal.
Price:
- I think the price of this food and coffee was so cheap. It worked out to be $18 which is good for a meal a sweet and a drink I think. Maybe this is due to it being out of the way a bit, compared to being central Wellington.
Service:
- Service was great, have no complaints for this aspect of the experience. I was greeted as coming into the Cafe and was dealt with immediately. Made conversation and actually talked to me as well as constantly cleaning the cafe creating a very clean environment.
Popularity:
- To my surprise this little Cafe was very popular! Especially for the time I ended up arriving, it was 3pm and most tables there were filled!
Availability:
- The only downside to this Cafe if how far away it is from Central Wellington. Although not everyone lives central Wellington, and if you are wanting to travel around and see more of Wellington this Cafe is perfect. You get to see other bays around the same area, as well as suburbs.
Noise Level:
- This is the absolute one thing I LOVED the most about this place. It had the best possible music playing in the background. Not too loud and not too quiet. Perfect actually. The music genre suited the whole place and where it was situated and what not. Loved it.
Comments
I loved this Cafe, and will defiantly be making a 2nd trip there! It was so peaceful and in such a nice location, defiantly had more character than just your average waterfront cafe in the CBD. Loved my experience there, and the food was top notch swell as the service. Just have to put a side a few extra dollars to get yourself there and back from where ever you are located. Defiantly worth the trip though.
