Picnic Cafe (Botanical Gardens)

On Wednesday (4th March 2015) I took a trip to the botanical gardens, and then through to Picnic Cafe. It was just my luck that on this day it was absolutely beautiful. Was really the perfect day for anyone to be at the botanical Gardens and stoping in at Picnic Cafe for either a lunch or even just a Coffee. I was overwhelmed by all the people that were at Picnic Cafe when I arrived, although it was prime time to be getting lunch. There was a tour bus parked up with heaps of tourists taking photos everywhere, swell as the locals stopping in. It was a lovely atmosphere with the emotive qualities that I set out to think this location would have. The relaxing feel, native, open, serene, engrossed. All of these which made up my experience there.

Picnic Cafe:

Quality:

  • Quality of this food was great. Although I only ordered for myself some fries and a large Flat White, I was still very impressed with the quality and how it was presented when brought out to me. It was so yummy and the exact fix I needed that day, so completely satisfied me.
  • The Cafe itself is in great condition, is always tidy, and there is always staff running around the place cleaning the tables to ensure there is always space for more customers.
Price:
  • The Price was very good I thought, was very affordable for me (and I'm a poor uni student) So I think anyone who comes along to this Cafe would be surprised at the prices and will happily pay that amount for the quality of service, and food they are receiving.
Service:
  • Service I must say was outstanding! Im all about having good service when you go into a store, or cafe or anywhere for that matter when they are taking your money. I was greeted before actually getting inside the cafe with a big friendly smile, swell as being served straight away with a smile on their face.
  • My food + Coffee came out so fast I feel as though I had only just sat down! I was amazed, so in that department I was very impressed with their service, and not wasting any time at all!
Popularity:
  • Very, very popular this cafe is. Although that may be because I went at a popular time. I was still overwhelmed with how many people were there visiting the rose garden and at the cafe itself! When I first walked in I actually wasn't sure whether I was going to get a tablf or have to wait for someone to leave.

Availability:
  • Very available depending on where you are coming from. If you are coming from the CBD (Lampton Quay) you can take the cable car which takes you right up to the botanical gardens. Its beautiful up there especially on a lovely day. Take the walk through the gardens and end up at the picnic cafe which will take around 20 mins not in a rush!
Noise Level:
  • Noise level wasn't all that bad considering the amount of people that were there, but it was very bearable and nothing that would annoy you while sitting there having lunch/coffee.
Comments:
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cafe and its surroundings! You feel amazing while sitting there taking it all in. It s a beautiful setting in a beautiful location, and if you love gardens and plants and nature. Defiantly the place to come to to take a break from the city, and relax and calm yourself whilst surrounding yourself with nature. Overall had the best time here.
