Written Matrix

We then were given an example of a matrix for 'Track Walking' and how to complete our own matrix for themes/topics that have interested us in the process of looking at possible ideas. I decided to start off by looking closely at the ideas of Festivals, Art Galleries, and Botanical Gardens/parks. From all of these ideas i was quite stumped as to what direction to go in.

Botanical Gardens/ Parks interested me a lot, in the sense that when I moved to Wellington I had all these expectations of it being fabulous, and a brilliant place (which it is) but I hated it. It was home sickness mainly, but living in a city was the biggest change to me. I come from a rural setting, I missed the calm, fresh environment of being at home with no police sirens in the background, or cars racing around, or people talking etc...
For my theme (broucher), I then decided to discover places that would make it feel more homely to me, these places were obviously nature based. Botanical gardens was my favourite for a long time, I loved it there, it was so quite and calm.

So... This is why I have decided to explore this aspect of Wellington. Cafe's that are scenic, and intertwine with nature in different ways. Picnic Cafe (botanical gardens) will defiantly be a first choice for one of my venues as thats a place I can relate to very well.
